Pass it On – Women helping Women: Together we Rise

OK Triniti Tribe… We are excited to announce that for August  we are going to be feature and support InterAct Family Safety and Empowerment Center, and Pass-it-On Thrift Store. Empowering women is at the core of who we are at Triniti Salon. We are asking the Tribe to bring in lightly used handbags, purses, and items that will bring a smile to another woman. Another great way to participate is to bring in beauty products that you don’t use. We will make this a ‘win/win’. You will receive a 20% discount on any Surface Hair Care Product when you deposit a product you don’t use! These items will be given to women who will enjoy and make use of them or they will be sold at InterActs community thrift store ‘Pass it On’. There are two locations – Raleigh and Fuquay Varina. These two great resale shops offer new and gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories at great prices, and the money helps support the programs at InterAct.

Dedicated to ending the cycle of domestic and sexual violence in Wake County, InterAct saves lives, rebuilds lives, and secures safer futures for victims and survivors and their families.

This extraordinary organization has nine areas of focus.

1. 24 Hr Crisis Hotlines – InterAct’s three 24-hour crisis lines serve as lifelines for victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence who need to take immediate steps toward achieving safety
2. Community Engagement & Outreach – InterAct offers engagement and outreach services in Wake County to provide information and education about domestic violence and sexual assault.
3. Court Advocacy and Protective Order Support – InterAct has a full-time presence in each of Wake County’s two domestic violence court rooms. Additionally, victims of domestic violence can electronically file for a domestic violence protective order at InterAct.
4. Emergency Shelter – InterAct’s Emergency Shelter Program serves as a “home away from home” for Wake County families who have experienced domestic violence and need emergency shelter.
5. Individual & Group Counseling – Victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault can see individual counselors and participate in ongoing specialized support groups – all at no charge.
6. Personal & Economic Empowerment – InterAct offers economic empowerment and financial literacy programming as a key component of self-sufficiency for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
7. Sexual Assault Services – InterAct provides individual counseling, case management and support to victims and survivors of rape and sexual assault.
8. The Solace Center – The Solace Center provides comprehensive, expert, compassionate nursing and forensic care, along with advocacy and support services for survivors of rape and sexual assault.
9. Youth Education Services – InterAct’s Youth Education Services (YES) Program provides a full violence prevention and early intervention curriculum to students in Wake County schools in grades 3-12.
